Looking for the perfect way to introduce your little ones to the joy of giving back? Our Junior Race Fundraiser at Alton Towers is just the ticket!
This exciting event combines fitness, fun, and philanthropy—all wrapped up in a day to remember! By lacing up their trainers, kids will not only enjoy the thrill of taking part in a race but also learn about the merits of supporting important causes or those who are less fortunate.
For us, every stride helps raise vital funds for people accessing Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust services, enabling us to do introduce some life enhancing projects which are beyond NHS funding.
About the Junior Races
Children of all ages are invited to take part in one of two 1.3k fun runs designed to inspire and energize. Age groups are split into 10 and under and 10+, so every child gets a chance to shine. Whether your child wants to run solo or you’d prefer to join them, it’s entirely up to you—adults are more than welcome to lace up too!
Every participant will receive:
⭐ A shiny medal to celebrate their achievement
⭐ Post-race goodies to refuel and reward their effort
⭐ Free ride access for the rest of the day at Alton Towers!
Adult Race - for those aged 15+
Saturday 15 November is also host to the adult 10k event open to adults and children aged 15+ - so there really is something for all the family!
Why this event is special
Introducing children to fundraising at a young age helps them understand compassion, community spirit, and the power of making a difference. This event is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, support a fantastic cause, and create magical memories at one of the UK’s best-loved theme parks.
Once the running shoes come off, the next level of fun can begin as participants are invited to enjoy the family-friendly attractions that Alton Towers is famous for.
For younger children
CBeebies Land is the perfect playground, with gentle rides, colourful adventures, and live experiences with favourite characters. Meet Bluey and the Heeler family, blast off on the Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, or travel the globe on the Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride.
For bigger kids and thrill-seekers
Alton Towers is also home to some of the UK’s most exciting rides, perfect for older kids who love an adrenaline rush. They can take on world-famous rollercoasters like:
Wicker Man – a fiery wooden coaster full of twists and turns
Galactica – a flying rollercoaster that launches riders into space
Nemesis Reborn – the legendary high-speed coaster, newly reimagined
Oblivion – Europe’s first vertical drop rollercoaster
