Halton CYPMHS Team dash to success at Liverpool Santa Dash!
10 December 2025
The team raised over £1,000 to support their service
It was a record-breaking Santa Dash!
A huge thank you to the incredible Halton Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service Team for taking part in the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash and raising an incredible £1,173 for their service!
The team signed up to raise funds for an art project supporting children who use Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust services. And they did it in style—joining over 11,000 red and blue Santas in what was a record-breaking event!
The Liverpool Santa Dash is the UK’s largest festive 5K, and the atmosphere on the day was electric.
Despite the chilly weather, spirits were high as runners, walkers, and even festive-dressed pooches took to the streets of Liverpool. Among them was Winston, the team’s mascot, who stole hearts in his Santa outfit!
The event, attended by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool and covered by national media, showcased the power of community and festive fun in making a real difference.
Taking part in the event was Sam (Clinical Lead), Nicola (Art Psychotherapist), Rory (Consultant Psychiatrist), Reanna (Senior Mental Health Practitioner), Louise (Assistant Psychologist), Rachael (Clinical Psychologist) and Ugur (Psychiatrist) - with each of them receiving one of the newly commissioned medals as a memento of the day and a reminder of their success.
Nicola Hamlin, Art Psychotherapist, said:
“It was a great day – the team all seemed to really enjoy themselves and it is amazing to see how much money we have raised! We wanted to a fund an art project for our service and these funds will make that possible. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated."
From Mersey Cares, thank you, Halton CYPMHS Team, for your energy, commitment, and festive spirit!
Any further donations to the art project would be welcome. You can support their amazing work, here
