Public places have already sold out for the event in April 2027 -- but you can still run for charity and do something amazing for others at the same time!
Snap up a Manchester Marathon place by running for Mersey Cares!
Within just 10 days of launching public places for the adidas Manchester Marathon had already sold out -- with 40,000 places snapped up and demand for the iconic event never being higher.
But don't be dismayed if you missed out, as there is still a way to take part in the UK's second largest marathon on Sunday 18 April 2027 - and that's by taking part for Mersey Cares!
We’re excited to share that we have 10 charity places for the Manchester Marathon up for grabs offering the chance to take part and do something amazing to support NHS staff, service users, patients, volunteers and carers.
High demand for public places
Demand for the adidas Manchester Marathon has never been higher, with public places now sold out with over 40,000 secured in just 10 days during the launch window!
Signing up for a charity place is a great way to take part-- and do something amazing for others at the same time.
Mersey Care's Children in Care Named Nurse, Michael Allcock (pictured, right), took part last year wanting to make a difference to the lives of the children he works with, and called the day incredible and the atmosphere 'unreal'.
Funds raised for Mersey Cares will enable our charity to bring projects to life across the Trust to support mental health and wellbeing beyond the limitations of NHS funding.
With a record number of 52,000 people due to take part in 2027, the adidas Manchester Marathon is the second largest marathon in the UK, known for its electric atmosphere at every turn and iconic scenery. Winding through the streets of Greater Manchester it’s a great way to take in the sights and soak up the buzz from the supportive crowds!
